We specialise in women-only group journeys and private, tailor-made trips for indivduals, couples and groups. Whether it’s a slow retreat by the sea in Goa, a safari-led journey through Kenya, or a cultural deep dive across Morocco, every Soluna experience is built around presence rather than pace, connection rather than consumption.

Our trips are intentionally small and carefully paced. We work with trusted local partners, stay in characterful, high-quality properties, and design routes that allow space to explore, rest, and truly arrive. Founder & Head Facilitator

Mathai Tharakan

Mathai Tharakan is an accomplished multi discipline athlete and a passionate advocate for fitness and movement. After a successful career in marketing and sales in the corporate world, he decided to shift gears and create an online fitness community during the pandemic in 2020. What began as a way for his friends and family to stay connected and active during lockdowns has since grown into a thriving fitness community focused primarily on helping women rediscover the joys of fitness and movement.

Mathai created The Soluna Experience, a curated travel experience company designed to facilitate personal exploration and empower women to explore travel and adventure, grow in their fitness journey and take charge of their lives beyond the roles they play in society. He finds great fulfilment in sharing his passion for movement and travel with others, and the last three years have been the most rewarding of his career.

Ruth D'Roza

Ruth D'Roza has been a leader in the HR world for over 12 years. The last year for Ruth has been about self exploration, pursuing various passion projects and honing these new skills.

Forever ready for a game of Backgammon or buried deep into a book Ruth is focusing on finding balance and carving her own path.

An astute task master with an eye for detail Ruth brings her vision and organizational skills to The Soluna Experience.

I typically invest months researching for an enriching holiday – unique experiences in nature, a deep dive into local culture and cuisine, a private music gig, a great meal in an exclusive restaurant, and, most importantly, the pleasure of getting back to a place that feels special and aspirational. A lofty expectation? Not for Soluna.

They effortlessly met high expectations, ensuring that from the moment I landed at the airport, I was taken care of. One of the highlights of my Soluna experience was engaging with other like-minded and strong women, fostering connections through activities and conversations that expanded my own perspectives. All I did was packed my bag and reached goa, from there it was an amazing 5 days experience ! From staying at a beautiful villa , sumptuous food, unexplored places and activities, everything was sorted. One huge differentiator of this trip from other group trips that I have seen is there was no rush or not feeling the need to constantly being on your toes. The best part was "you could be you" ! I met such wonderful women on this trip from different walks of life and each one of them certainly inspired me in some way ! If i had to summarize my trip in two words it was Serene and Fun ! Thanks Mat and Ruth for an experience I would never trade off for anything :)
